Happy Violin!

My client on Saturday brought her beautiful violin and I just HAD to photograph it! The ivy was a bit wet...I'm so happy she let her violin lay there for a bit! :) I've seen baby pictures with the baby in the middle of ivy. I hope to do that one day...but this is totally doing it for me for now. :)

Sneak peek Saturday!

Do you know that I have to look up how to spell "saturday" EVERY TIME I WRITE IT OUT?! What is wrong with me?
Anyway, here's a sneakity peekity from Friday. :) Cold, windy, and she came through like a trooper!







We did part of this shoot at my favorite spot in Palmer Lake...and they are renovating the yellow art building! THE HORROR! The yummy windows?...gone. The crackly yellow plaster?...going to be re-stucco-ed. OH MY GOSH. I will be wearing black for the next 3 weeks during my mourning period.

Um, one of the window guys did give me one of the old windows. Now I just have to figure out how to hang it on one of our walls. It's like 80lbs!

What day is it?

Days are seriously running together. :)
Here is my sneak peek from yesterday. Even with the wind, this shoot was a success. :) Now, I'm off to pick up my girl from school. And what to eat for dinner? Hmmmmm. I wonder if my family will notice if we skip dinner tonight.

I drove away from my shoot on Tuesday totally smiling. It was fun and light and fun again. And we discovered some awesome locations!!!! I love that! Thanks for hanging and enjoy your sneak peek! :)

I'm posting on the run...oh my goodness, life is busy this week. I'm going to try to take mini-breathers this week. What do YOU do for little breaks in a busy day? I need ideas. That don't lead to a 2 hour nap in the sun. :)

So, I end a great shoot this morning and am on my way to Starbucks for an iced nonfat latte when I look at myself in the mirror with horror...

I SPENT THE ENTIRE SESSION WITH A HUGE POPPY SEED STUCK BETWEEN MY TWO FRONT TEETH.

Oh my word. I just wanted to crawl under a rock (with my latte of course) and die. Note to self: Look in the mirror before meeting a client!

It's a photo shoot miracle!

Here are the miracles:
1. I did not fall AT ALL...I'm talking the whole shoot...didn't even trip. Or slip. Really. This is unbelievable.
2. I found some of the coolest, funkiest walls ever. Murals? Yes! Peel-y paint? Yes! Butter stucco? Yes! That's a whole lotta photog happiness right there.
3. Did I mention that I didn't fall?

Good stuff

I started the day early, making breakfast, starting laundry, going to a fantastic shoot, and then had blueberry pie for lunch. Um, can I redo this day tomorrow? :)

Can you tell I can't wait until the holidays?! It was rainy and a bit cold today and I have to say that I loved every minute of it. (Except for rescheduling today's shoot.) I cannot wait til the leaves turn wonderful colors, pumpkin bread is baking in the oven, and we are all in comfy cozy sweaters.
