Wake up! It's Tuesday!

I love Tuesday. Tuesday means that I got through all of the stuff on Monday that I held off all weekend...or at least started going on the list...or at least written it all down. Tuesday means that I have 4 more days in the work week to get things done. Tuesday means that I'm in the midst of the week...not at the beginning, not waiting til the end...seriously in it and in the present. I feel like "Tuesday" doesn't expect "greatness"...only that I show up. And when the expectations of "greatness" is gone, I do better. I can breathe. Better stuff comes out of me when I can breathe. :)

Happy Turkey Week!

It's sneak peek Monday! :) I will have quite a few previews during this week, so check back...I won't be the bad blogger of late. Not sure what my problem is...I guess I'm trying to find that constant balance between home, work, life, kids, pets, volunteering, laundry, art....
I usually show a few black and whites, but I loved the earth tones in this shoot...and their eyes are amazing!

today is a good day

I'm not sure why, but I woke up today feeling happy, thankful, and amazed at our life and kids. Sometimes when I wake up, all I'm thinking about is my cup of coffee. Today, I had this overwhelming urge to shower our kids with love and smiles and "I'm happy to see you". And you know what? It didn't take any more time or energy than it does to grab my cup of coffee. It just takes being AWAKE and AWARE of how I'm acting and responding.

getting back in the groove

I seriously dropped the ball last week (bad blogger!). Oh well. Life goes on. So, it's Monday...it's a new day...a new week...and there's so much to be thankful for. This week I'm working on documenting all of the stories in our lives that are happening RIGHT NOW that I never want to forget. NOT the stories that happened in the past that I missed. NOW. I'm starting NOW. Do you ever feel like if you don't do it PERFECT, it's not worth doing? Me too. So, I'm letting go of "catching up"...and I'm just going to start. Life moves fast. And things get busy. Sometimes you just have to dive in head first.

Enough about me!...here's a sneakity peekity from this weekend!

Monday hit my butt.

I had a long, but very attainable, list of things to do today and totally got off track and didn't finish half. Sometimes days are like that.
And I am a huge liar!...have I posted any Halloween pics? Nope. I will be better tomorrow, but in the mean time, a sneak peek!






During a clothing change, I hung out with one of the burros on site...until one almost sneezed on me. Sweet burro,but that would've been super yucky.

Tomorrow (besides Halloween costume pics), I have a coffee date, some deliveries, and some VOTING!!! We live in a swing state and I can't wait for the phone calls and door-to-door visits to stop. :)
