God Bless the Internet

I still do not have a fever, but my throat is like a screaming fire. Yuck. So, I've been drinking my coffee (I know it's probably not the best thing when you are sick...but NOBODY wants me to go without...not a good thing) and surfing the internet, blog to blog to link to blog...and came across this, creative therapy.

Let me back up. I am a scrapbooker. Actually, I am an artist. Started out painting, then photography, then painting again, then had kids...and let it all go for a bit. I really resisted the whole scrapbook thing for a while...but the STUFF, oh the STUFF. The paper, the designs, the ribbons and inks and stamps. Ahhhhh. And I love reading my scrapbooks later...not so much at the time, but later, when you read all the stuff that you would've forgotten. Ya, that's what it's about.

But recently, I've lost my mojo for scrapping. I think I was wanting more meaning...maybe my pages weren't authentic?...maybe I felt guilty over the abundance of STUFF I had...

But it's important. I never want to forget the stories. What our family's inside jokes our son can talk forever about you would never know when my daughter is sick cuz she's got the highest pain tolerance ever...bed head...morning breath...Sat family movie night.

Anyway, there was something about this art journaling blog that inspired me, felt true to me, felt authentic and beautiful, and I just had to share it with you. :)

I'm onto my next cup of coffee and a shower, and then I'm going to cuddle with my sick kids on the couch while looking at the Sunday ads. Even though we are like the germiest family ever...this sounds like it's going to be a great day.
