I've already gone for a walk, talked with friends, pet my dog, had a piece of a yummy whole grain bagette, read a good book (that is freaking me out, so I had to put it down for a bit), and bought milk. I'm taking the kids to an outdoor movie tonight that's playing near the place I bought the whole grain bagette, so I think I'll get more of that, and maybe an iced green tea (who cares about sleeping tonight when their iced green tea is SO good!)...it's turning out to be a great day. I'm happy. I'm excited. I'm inspired. Sending out some love!...

For anyone who is interested, all of my indoor sessions are done at my client's homes, with backdrops and professional lights set up there...but I usually end up wandering around looking for cool textures and colors. Love options!

This wonderful family had an iced latte waiting for me before the shoot! How happy is that?! I'm hoping it sets a precedent. hehe! :)

Christmas is coming!

Believe it or not, I have started thinking about Christmas! It will be here before we know it, and I wanted to get going on things...so here is a sneak preview of one of the card designs I will be offering this Christmas...I LOVE it! :) This card is 5x7 and can be either postcard style or greeting card style. 'Tis the Season!

I have the best little cookbook from when I was a kid...Better homes and gardens Junior cookbook...last night I had the great pleasure of making one of my favorite childhood recipes, On Top On Top, with my kids last night. It was their idea, and I was smiling ear to ear the whole time. The best part...cuz it needs 6 hours in the fridge, we had it for breakfast this morning. that is so happy!

today, I got to go out by myself for a few hours...a rare thing during the summer. I highly recommend it! I feel like I've come back from a long vacation...only, there isn't tons of laundry to do. :)

For those of you who have been in a creative funk...

I have a creative job...and that's good. But I have a need to continue that into my daily life...when that doesn't happen, me and everyone around me ends up miserable. I couldn't put a finger on it last night...then I read this. Ever have an A-HA moment? Love them! Need them! So thankful for them!

Has it really been a week since my last post! sheesh! I gotta get on top of it! I think things might be hit and miss with the kiddos home for the summer...spending more time at the library, friend's houses, and playing outside than designing and posting. :)

Here are 2 for today...a beautiful dragonfly came for a visit and was a very patient model for me.

My clients today had a red barn...how dreamy is that! It had the best indirect light and all kinds of doors to lean against. Um...could I fit that into our backyard? Yes please, I'll take one to-go!
